Love Fish & Co!
Love burmese food :)
I went out with Javier last friday for dinner but we couldn't decide what to eat. Being lovers of Japanese food, we have been having either Waraku or Tonkichi everytime we went out for dinner. But this time I asked him to try out burmese food. We went to Pennisular Plaza, where one could find most of the burmese food and yea..everything about burmese and burma there. We went to Inle at basement 1. Although I don't like the lady boss, I have been a steady customer since she opened this shop years back. I am pretty much stick to this shop because of its chinese-burmese food such as Kyae-Oo. We had fresh water king prawns, fried kang kong, fried tofu and some soup..and Javier had Avocado milkshake and burmese rice cake (yummy)..he loved it!

Loves food
Today was eventful; I had Ah Chew desserts before dinner. It’s located at Bugis. It changed menu to add more desserts, especially those made of grass jelly. Now I can choose from over 40 desserts. I had grass jelly with peach and Javier had grass jelly with mango since we haven't had grass jelly dessert at Ah Chew before. The dessert was nice, with chunky grass jelly with peaches for me and mango for Javier. It’s not too sweet and simply fine. The only thing I wanna complain is too much ice which I can’t have these days because of my sensitive teeth.
We went to Creation to have dinner after that. Thanks to Bernard who brought me there, I had dined there a lot of times with my close buddies. It’s a small pasta shop at Shaw Centre. I normally have 2 types of pastas to order every time I go there although I know there are a lot of choices, Tom Yum seafood pasta or Laksa seafood pasta. Both are divine. I had Tom Yum pasta today. I love that place because of its cheap but really really nice set meal of pastas. One could only need to pay $15.20 for 3-course dinner. It’s really cheap as one can choose from different types of pastas, soup of the day, drinks and desserts. I had apple crumble with ice-cream today. Yumm!

Ahkar loves Screme
Yesterday I had a quick lunch @ Screme. I am sure all (or most) SMU students know about it since it’s being run by students and it’s more like students’ bar with relaxing atmosphere. I just had a chicken cheese meal for $5.40 which comes along with a canned drink (I can choose from the fridge), chicken cheese hotdog (those German hotdogs), mashed potato and salad (mostly lettuce with mayo). I can’t complain much for $5 meal and it is definitely better than much healthier than Mac or KFC student meals (I always had them). I had meals and drinks at Screme a few times even before it changed the name to this name. That place is for students who just wanna run away from stressful school life for awhile and chat up with friends over a meal or a beer (you can find different types of beer that I haven’t seen before). It also has game console for students to play games with friends. One thing I am impressed is their lovely service. I had a pizza with my friends and it wasn’t done well. They made another pizza for us plus free cupcakes for us. It’s indeed quite sweet but not sure whether they could make money out of our meal. I know there is live band playing there at times but not sure about the time and date though.

Ahkar loves izzue
Because of Jerry, I fall in love with Izzue when I went to HK last summer. I bought a few polo Ts and T-shirt, I even asked Jerry to buy for me when he was in HK. Partly because its ranges are unique, interesting, nice and cheap(or affordable) for me.I love this T-shirt with cute and sketchy words.
I love this shorts. Shorts are still IN. Grey and black still are dominant colors in most Fall collections as usual, especially CK calvin klein. I love how the shorts was being tapered nicely and the cutting, not too short and not too long.
I love this stripped pullover. It's just simple but it reminds me of Chanel black & white strips although Chanel is very feminine. I could just pair up with solid color shorts and voila! I hate to dress up so it's gonna be fine with me :)

Love for studded
I don’t know why but my liking for studded objects grows a lot, maybe because of the rough economy, rough times.
Those Prada shoes?? I saw that pair (or similar to that pair) at Ion. Although it’s definitely scene-stealer, I love how Prada makes it very metal-studded but definitely less attention-seeking than Louboutin (the first pic) which is super-hot but super expensive also ($2,200 for a pair).
These studded wallets are quite cool, Prada, Balenciaga (my favorite brand) and Dior Homme. Thinking of getting one of these after my wallet is in bad shape, which I doubt so as I have been using my current wallet for less than a year. I am the kind who will buy another one after the current one is spoiled. I don’t like to have so many wallets. Maybe thinking of buying a new cardholder.

Obama wins Nobel Prize
Although he became president at the wrong time or I should say messy time (with all those health care issue, global economy downturn, financial crisis...and many many more), Barack Obama won presitigious Nobel Peace Prize "for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples" according to Nobel Peace Prize website. The sweet thing is Obama said he would donate money from Nobel Prize to charity. According to what I have read, people are still wondering whether giving out the most presitigious prize to Mr.Obama is a good thing (to respect and show his contributions towards international diplomacy during 2008 before he became president of USA) or a bad thing (giving him such prize in a very short period as he hasn't really started working as REAL fighter(i should say fighter for peace), put him in limelight and set impossible goals for him to achieve).
Whatever it goes, I would congradulate Mr.Obama for his achievement, who is now the same league as Daw Aung San Suu Kyi (whom I am always proud of as a Burmese), the 1991 Nobel Peace Prize winner "for her non-violent struggle for democracy and human rights". I took a pic with her when I was in Oslo, not her but her pic at Nobel Peace Museum at Oslo,Norway. And I seriously hope she could go and collect Nobel Peace Prize by herself. I hope because we all live with hopes.
Nectarie,Clarke Quay

It's not my first time having dessert at Nectarie, last time I went was with Jerry,Ben and Sam before Sam left for Sydney. We met Lawla there and it's a great surprise as 3 of us have known each other for almost a decade. We should celebrate 10th year in Sydney next year..maybe! I went there with Jack today because I wanted to have something sweet before sleep. Jack ordered double chocolate mud cake with crunchy hazelnut ice-cream and I ordered pistachio white chocolate cake and iced chocolate hazelnut. The dessert was sinful but of cause yummy...my white chocolate was light white chocolate with tangy(or sour) raspberry cream and green layer which tasted very similar to kaya. it's good but Jack's choice was obviously better.I tried abit, the dark chocolate was superb although I wasn't a big fan of hazelnut ice-cream ..maybe it's too nutty for me :)
Some Japanese food at Ion and Yummy Ikea dessert
I tried this Japanese fast food shop at Ion today. It's considered expensive for fast food as I paid 15 bucks for curry pork katsu and mineral water($1.60-the cheapest drink in the list). The food was ok. The curry is slightly light and pork katsu isn't bad but I still prefer my own favourite Tonkichi which specialize in katsu. The miso was not bad, or at least interesting since they didn't use those cheap readymade stuff. I can feel the light taste of miso with carrots and dried ham, cheaper version of Tonkichi Tonjiru :D
Good for light lunch but pricy for fast food.
I went to eat desserts at Ikea while accompanying Jerry. I just had this pancake and banana(strange pair though). Yummy! I always love Ikea food, cheap and nice.
