Ahkar loves Thai Food
I have been to Thailand many times until I stopped going there these years. I don’t know why but it just happened, maybe partly because of political instability but my old friend from Bangkok still told me nothing’s going on and I could come anytime to visit him. I miss the Thai food there and one trip I had to make sure I have Tom Yum Soup every meal. I tried different types of Tom Yum Soup that trip from light/clear soup to heavily spiced soups! I love spicy ones!
I love the coffee shop near my school, along Bencoolen Street. I am not a big fan of eating at coffee shop but I do eat at coffee shop or hawker if the food is good. It’s a small coffee shop (with so many Thai trannies around :P) and voila! It has authentic Thai food sold by Real Thai lady. I have had lunch and dinners there many times, tried pineapple rice (yummy and the serving is huge), Phat Thai (Thai fried noodles- yummy but I hate peanuts), green curry chicken (quite nice with light coconut milk flavor), papaya salad (Love it although I hate peanuts again), fried fish (nice but hard to eat- I hate to eat things with lots of bones or shells in public), seafood omelet (NO…no for me) and most yummy one is(are) Tom Yum Soup and Tom Yum Noodle (literally Tom Yum Soup with glass noodles). The soup is simply nice and tastefully done, if you can’t take very spicy stuff, you can tell the lady to reduce the spiciness. It’s simply authentic with so many spices, fish fillets, and prawns inside. I don’t mind having it everyday.
